Serving Washington - Summer Serve 2010

Serving our God and community with Kids of Faith is such a blast and a blessing! Our theme verse for the summer is Ephesians 2:10 "For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." Here are a few pictures from our latest Summer Serve - doing good works by picking up trash and cleaning the pavilion at Marr Park.

We had a GREAT week at SonRock kids camp! We learned that we are Accepted by Jesus (1 John 3:1), Protected by Jesus (Isaiah 41:13), Saved by Jesus (Romans 10:9), Forgiven By Jesus (Psalm 86:5) and Living for Jesus (Ephesians 2:10). Enjoy the pictures of some of the fun!

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, Pine Lake Camp is an absolute must for your children this summer! I’ve been blessed to witness so many lives transformed by Jesus Christ at Pine Lake (my life included!) Please invest in the spiritual life of your child by allowing them to spend time at a beautiful camp with a group of beautiful people who will lovingly introduce your children to Jesus and encourage them to live for Him. Register online at www.pinelakecamps.org. Sign up on the bulletin board at church, so I can help arrange transportation too! FBC will cover half of the cost for your child to attend!

We’re gearing up to serve the Lord this summer by serving our community and world! Preschoolers through 6th graders are invited to meet us at the following places throughout the summer to serve & learn! Parents are welcome.
Meet @ 9:30am, done @ 11:30am

June 14—Stewart (meet outside front door)
June 21— Marr Park (meet outside Nature Center)
June 28—Kids Against Hunger (meet in youth room @ church)
July 5—Lincoln (meet outside front door)
July 12—Halcyon House (meet inside front doors)

Attention Sunday School Teachers!

We will be using an exciting new curriculum for Sunday School beginning in September! 252Basics is currently being used for KidStuf, our Wed. evening program, and will now be used for SS as well! You are going to love teaching kids the solid truths of God’s Word as they learn virtues each month. There are two meetings scheduled in July to help us prepare for this transition, Please plan to attend one of them. If you can’t make either, let Cari know ASAP.

Dads, Make Men's Breakfast a Priority!

It’s super important for the men of our church (the Dads of our children) to attend the Men’s Breakfast this Saturday morning—June 5 at 7am! I’ll be praying that your hearts will be encouraged and you will draw near to the Lord as you fellowship with your brothers in Christ!
