My sister and I often have to remind each other to “Choose Joy.” There are moments, sometimes days or weeks, when Joy is a choice. It just doesn’t always come naturally. I remember passing that little saying on to many of my campers when I was a counselor. “Choose joy” I’d remind them when they started to get homesick or they were bummed out about our next activity. We can make the choice to have God’s character and be joyful! What an impact our young ones can make in their schools if they head to class each day with a joyful attitude! I can’t wait to dive in and celebrate the JOY of Christmas!

Joy!
I’m VERY excited our virtue for December for KidStuf and K-4 Sunday School - JOY! We’ll define joy as finding a way to be happy, even when things don’t go your way. We’ll memorize Philippians 4:4 “Rejoice in the Lord always, I will say it again: Rejoice!” I’ve already been challenged by this verse and this virtue and we're only a week in. We have a reason to rejoice ALWAYS – we have a Savior who has redeemed us and loves us and is with us!
